Sigma Phi Beta @ Indiana
The Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Beta is the second addition to the Sigma Phi Beta family and is the first expansion success for Sigma Phi Beta. The Beta Chapter first colonized at Indiana University in the Fall of 2010. The brothers at Indiana have worked hard to establish themselves at IU and were granted provisional chapter status at the Sigma Phi Beta Convention in Tempe, AZ on 7/31/2011 and solidified their chapter status during "Charter Weekend" that fall semester at IU. The Beta Chapter represents an exciting future for Sigma Phi Beta Fraternity and is the first of many new chapters to come.
The Beta Chapter is committed to community service in Bloomington and throughout Indiana. Members are encouraged to complete at least 15 hours of community service each semester so they can ensure they are making a positive impact on their community. The Beta Chapter has worked with several organizations around Bloomington to accomplish this.
The members of the Beta Chapter have grown very close as they have grown the chapter from interest group to colony, and finally to chapter status. This close-knit group of brothers provides a strong support network for members and will set a great example for future pledge classes.
